The building dates back to 1705. The food is great and very affordable. It’s not a restaurant, but rather a bar that serves four different tapas. We tried the mussels, bravas, and calamari — everything was amazing and full of flavor. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Even on our last order, when we only ordered drinks, they kindly offered us some tapas as a gesture. Such a nice touch! Excellent service overall.

Best patatas bravas in the world! If you visit Ponferrada, this is a must! Be ready to wait for a table, or you can have a drink and a free small tapa in the bar, as queues are always long. I would also recommend the Sangria de Cava, it’s really good

Everybody adores this place for their potatoes with the special sauce. The place has a medieval vibe and and nice vast seating area as well as a stand up high tables outside. Must try when in Ponferrada over a glass or two of nice red.

Parada típica y obligatoria. Es autoservicio, tienes que pedir pagar y recoger … Ven con mucha paciencia que suele estar muy lleno. Hay que hacer cola… y hasta que te toque . Lo típico es mejillones en salsa picante , patatas y calamares . Todo está riquísimo.

Un sitio con mucho encanto, ideal para un tapeo informal y disfrutar de un ambiente tranquilo. Probamos unos platos sencillos pero bien preparados, perfectos para acompañar con vino. El servicio fue correcto y atento, y el ambiente resulta acogedor, especialmente para una charla relajada. Buena relación calidad-precio y una experiencia agradable en general. Recomendable para una parada sin prisas.

El Bodegón es una parada imprescindible en Ponferrada. Tienen, sin exagerar, las mejores patatas bravas y mejillones que hemos probado: sabores auténticos, raciones generosas y un punto de cocina que engancha. Es cierto que hacía bastante calor y no sirven en mesa, y que solo se puede pagar en efectivo, pero todo eso pasa a segundo plano cuando llega la comida. Un lugar con carácter, tradición y sabor que merece la visita.
